Government College Women University Faisalabad organised a prestigious ceremony on 14th August 2023 to celebrate Independence Day of Pakistan. Vice Chancellor GCWUF Prof. Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli was the chief guest of the event. She hoisted the national flag that led to a special prayer for the safety and survival of the beloved country, and recital of the national anthem of Pakistan. In celebration of the independence, cake was cut and songs were sung. Security staff of the university presented a special march past in honor of the dear homeland. All coordinators, directors, heads of teaching and non-teaching departments, staff and students actively participated in the event. Addressing the audience, Vice-Chancellor stressed that we all need to promise diligence, honesty, and hard work for the improvement and development of this institution and our country. Pakistan came into being after making a huge sacrifice. Our Kashmiri brothers are still paying heavy debt for their freedom. We are lucky to enjoy our freedom in our liberated homeland. She prayed for Muslims of Kashmir, Palestine, and all other countries where they are running freedom movements. Professor Dr. Zill-i-Huma Nazli concluded her speech with a prayer for the development of the country.
